IMAGE AND TEXTURE

Collagraph is a form of mono-printing using collaged materials, where the tonal subtleties of the work can vary from one edition to the next depending on how the ink is removed from the textured plate.  In contrast, screen printing can lend itself to the repetitive accuracy of mechanical reproduction and photography.  I am really interested in the contrast between these two modes of production, and how they interact to merge and confuse the boundaries between the gestural and the reproduced mark.
