PLEXUS, 2016

Collage, industrial paint, acrylic and oil on canvas

300cm x 210cm

Plexus is the largest painting in the series. These paintings start from a purely abstract origin, often building on a base of collaged advertising paper.  Fractured architectural references and abstract geometry, reminiscent of technological or virtual maps, combine to create an ambiguous, semi-abstract landscape. While retaining hints of representation woven into the surface, these abstractions have an undefined scale and perspective.
